Posts must:
include details about the involved parties including ages, genders, and length of relationship, and
request advice in real situations involving two or more people
We are enforcing the two rules listed above by making all titles start with ages/genders in the following format:
[##X][##X], [## X][## X], or [##-X][##-X] where ## is the age and X is the gender (currently M, F, T, A, NB, FTM, MTF but more can be added). You can have more than two ages/genders listed, but you must have at least two at the beginning of your title. Here is an example:
Yeah no this isn’t okay. It’s not normal, safe or respectful. Not to you, it isn’t respectful of herself either to behave in such a manner. It is absolutely okay for you to say NO and end this relationship. She needs counseling and honestly I’d have reported her to abuse already.
Wow, I'm not sure I could be with someone who basically called me a liar. Sure she said embellish but that's just a fancy word for being a liar.
Before I exited though I would get proof. I wear glasses so spy cams are a bit easier to use. There is an app that will use a word command to start recording. I believe it was developed to help those who have been stopped by police to make sure there was evidence. Sorry, I've not used it but I would look that up. Or, if you have an Apple watch, can you record voice on it to the cloud?
I would be doing something to catch him in the act of saying these things so she can't deny it. Then, once she deals with that, I would be leaving because I have more self respect than to stay with someone who thinks I'm a liar.
I'm so sorry OP, you don't deserve any of this. Maybe seek out a therapist to have them help you deal with this. At worst it sounds like her friend has narcissistic tendencies. Those people are very hot to deal with when they don't like you, there is basically nothing you can do to change that.
You did nothing wrong. You were single, you did whatever you wanted to do while single. There's nothing wrong with that. It's up to him to get his head out of his ass and appreciate the fact that you took his sorry ass back instead of telling him to fuck off. He should be freaking thankful since that's not how a lot of these situations turn out. He's got to get his fragility straightened out.
