You spent so much time writing these eloquently worded paragraphs and… you could have used some of that energy to just have an honest conversation with your wife about whether or not you will have kids together. Have you done that at all?
Getting pregnant isn’t a “spontaneous/romantic” thing, it requires mutual consent and planning ahead. If you aren’t having these talks with your wife and making plans, you’re not going to get pregnant, so you shouldn’t have had any expectations around whether or not she’s going to go on birth control again.

I can understand being upset that he lied. That's a normal reaction. But you're going to have a rough life ahead if you can't come to terms with the fact most people have a past. It's fine if you're not ok with it, but you're going to have a nude time finding a partner whose never done anything sexual.
It's also fine if you're not ready to be physical with him, but you don't get to freak out at him for having a past. If you can't handle it, break up.

So incredibly glad and PROUD of OP for noping the fuck out of that situation!! Trusted their gut and/or refused to tolerate the lack of compassion (and theft) but mostly stood up for their dream wedding and being respected as an autonomous individual who deserves to be treated with dignity, on her wedding day of all days. What the fuck did they think hiding the dress was going to accomplish? Are they treating her as if she has minimal cognitive function and no object permanence?!
