  1. Porn is about variety. My partner and I have an active sex life, and I know he finds me very attractive, and still if he wants to jerk off he might look at someone opposite of me. Because he already has me. This is both your child, not “my” daughter. That being said, postpartum is rough as hell and it can do a number on your self-esteem. A traumatic labor (I had one) can echo in your mind for years. Tell him how you're feeling, and that you need his reassurance, because your self-esteem is at a low. Also, if she's 4 months old he could take 3 minutes if she's napping or playing. It doesn't make him non-trustworthy with the infant you share. You don't have to pay “full attention” to an infant of 4 months, if they are napping or taking some time in their crib or rocker, to the point that you can't get a shower (why aren't you insisting on a shower?) or do some other short-term task. This seems like partially him being flat-footed, but also you working through post-partum without carving out real time for yourself, and having realistic expectations. Good luck, OP.

  2. Here's a life lesson: your mother is going to make that comment for the rest of your life. Get used to it. She's your mom, she loves you, and she's always going to miss you. She also understands that you have a life to on-line. You aren't letting her down by living your life.

  3. That’s abusive behavior. And he doesn’t like seeing therapists because they call him on his bullshit.

So if you want to live! like this indefinitely, stick around.

But I think you’d be far better served doing individual therapy to examine why you accept this behavior and how to set and maintain boundaries. And I’d speak to an attorney and end the marriage.

The hardest part of getting divorced is making the decision. Then it’s all just working a plan. The sense of relief you get once you’re really out of an abusive relationship is tremendous.

The only regret I (44F) have about getting divorced is that I wish I would have done it years earlier.
