That is some seriously toxic behavior. My advice would be to set a strong boundary with him. Let him know that a continuation of this behavior will end your relationship, and that if he does it again your relationship will be over. And then hold firm and be ready to walk away. If he doesn’t continue to ignore you, you can discuss better alternatives to dealing with conflict and suggest couples counseling to work on healthy communication strategies. If he’s not interested then accept that he probably isn’t going to change. Which means expect it to happen again and be worse. My advice is that when it happens again, end the relationship and don’t look back. It will be the best thing for the both of you. He will at least know that you were serious and may grow from it, and you will have opened yourself to meet someone who is more emotionally healthy.
