They went to a lot of effort to make Janeane Garofalo the “ugly” one and Uma Thurman the “pretty” one and no disrespect to Uma Thurman but even in that movie or especially in that movie I found Janeane way more attractive than Uma, not just personality but physically too. It kind of made the whole movie silly the way they kept trying to pretend Janeane wasn't pretty.
This was also back from when movies took way less risk about actually having women be unpretty in a movie… even if that's literally what the movie is about. But even so it still amused me.
Now that I think about it, this is a movie I would recommend OP to watch.
