1. Feeling insecure is reasonable, IMO – you’re only human. You’re at the 6 month mark, right? That’s a complicated stage to be in … you’re falling in love with someone and being really vulnerable in a lot of ways but you’re still getting to know one another. And it can be really tough to be sure how secure things are or how serious this really is.

   So I get feeling insecure. Because posting you would be a small form of validation – it’d be an acknowledgment of your relationship and would probably make you feel like ”he wouldn’t post me if he didn’t see this working out long-term”. Him posting you would mean something, right?

   But clearly, he doesn’t place the same value in social media posting that you do – because he’s not active on it himself and he doesn’t really care that his old posts don’t represent his current life. If you’re seeking validation and need to feel more secure in your place in his life, say that. Don’t make it about a photo, because you’re assigning meaning to this when it isn’t really there … so even if he does post you, it’s an empty, meaningless gesture – not the reassurance you’re looking for.
