Taking a shower after being in a bar should be a requisite for coming home lol especially if it’s a smoky bar or maybe he got a drink spilled on him. People shower for about 100 different reasons and yes, cheating is one of them but it’s only one of them. I would give him the benefit of the doubt if he’s never given you a reason not to trust him. Now, if this is somehow accompanied by 30 other red flags, and yes, I would definitely pursue this.
She explicitly did not reference the deposit or down payment. She only mentions bills and mortgage. I asked “what about the deposit?” that's not an assumption, that's a question. “paying towards a mortgage is just called rent” isn't an assumption either, it's a clarifying statement.
If she's not contributing half the deposit as well as half the bills, half the mortgage and half the risk, then paying bills and mortgage alone just make her a tenant. People equate paying off the mortgage to being the same as home ownership but that's just not true. If she is willing to pay half the deposit, cool, she needs to say that in the original post. And willingness to pay it also doesn't mean she is entitled to be on the deeds. Her partner can still say “i don't want that” and ask for just half the bills and mortgage as a form of rent payment, and there's nothing wrong with that.
What do you mean when you say “on the contract”? If she's on the mortgage, she's not obligated to pay half the deposit as well. Are you a home owner? It sure doesn't sound like it
Correct! & me too
