He's actually not entitled to any of it in most US states. Inheritance is totally separate, if it's maintained that way. This situation would get sticky, with businesses and the income from them, which is what the prenup would protect.
It would be sticky bc she likely would be using some of that money to support the family that they build together and so could actually make him entitled to something if they did divorce. Which, could be made “better” by putting a clause in the prenup that he gets spousal support for so long, but is not entitled to anything else.
I understand his thought process here, but if he truly can't see why her parents would want this for her, he's being a little closed minded.

I’m 10 years older than you, not married but in a stable long term relationship with a partner who loves me and encourages me to follow my dreams. Marriage isn’t the only way to prove your commitment to someone.
