I am so sorry you are going through this, I have been through it myself. I was with my ex for 5 years, had 2 kids with him and my god he was a pill to live with by the end of it. Looking back I think he was depressed and was escaping through the videogames and TV. Later he admitted it was true, that he felt suffocated to be with me, that he had no business being in a relationship and having kids. I ended up breaking up with him and later he admitted it was the best thing I could have done because he had become so abusive towards me it was unlivable.
OP please think long and hard if this is the type of relationship you want for yourself for the next five years, if this is what you want your life to look like. tell him you need premarital counselling and “no” is not an acceptable answer. If he intends to stay with you then things can't keep going as they are because your foot is already out the door and the other is poised to follow.
If he wants to save his familly there has to be major changes and not just temporary “fine if it will shut you up” changes that revert back after 2 weeks.
