If it works out with the guy from the app, this time with the ex will come back to haunt you.
Two things. Put the shoe on the other foot. If you met someone and it worked out long term, how would you feel and react knowing he was having sex with someone else when you first started, especially if you had told him you were looking for a relationship only? Maybe you didn't exactly lie when you said you are going with a friend, but you are decieving him as you know it is an ex and probably sex will be involved. Lying by omission is still lying.
Second, have you considered cancelling out on the ex? You said there are no feelings, so that wouldn't be an issue. Maybe just a matter of convenience. I mean it's something to think about. Then it becomes an non-issue as you eliminated both the long term problem plus any guilt.
Thank a lot for your answer. I will think about it.
