That’s what drives me nuts. In his mind he apologized, and when I didn’t immediately forgive him he made me out to be the bad guy. He doesn’t understand that when you make a mistake (a severe one at that), that an apology alone doesn’t change anything. It is up to the other person to accept the apology, and he can’t handle not being in control. So he turns it around to him needing to forgive us. It’s absolutely crazy to me. And MIL says she can see both sides.
An on-line calculator is not as good as presenting your expenses to the court and then telling you how much you can afford. You're not a fan of shared rentals or living with your parents but somehow think it's more acceptable or easier to live! with a toxic woman?

This phrasing alone is the gigantic red flag you are proudly waving around.
No story is actually that long, no reason to tell someone “I have a secret but I won't tell you” is a valid reason.
Seems like you wanted attention. You got it.
What next?
I don’t understand why your grades would drop?
