   You break up, you move on, but you don't have to be the biggest shit ever to a person in need. You don't even have to do anything to support this person, just don't be a fucking asshole.

3. I think you may just have to accept that you'll be hurting his feelings here, but that it's most likely worth being honest.

   I'm curious — how long ago did he get them? Are there professionally done? Are they just linework? Done by a friend? I am not sure if he would've shared these things with you (beyond the things you can tell just by looking at them), but they probably all influence the way he feels about them. If they are impulse tattoos he got while drunk/high and are shaky linework, he might actually have thought of covering them, but that's gonna be several hundred per based on the sizes implied here. So again, not a quick fix when this is a problem now.

   I think I would just tell him that you find him very physically attractive except the tattoos, and you thought you could move past them, but you can't. I don't think this would necessarily be surprising or something he hasn't heard before.
