Honestly, this is a personal thing and she has made it perfectly clear that she doesn’t like it. You are not going to “get it in her head”. She has made her position clear. You might need to make a decision between farting and girlfriend.
I honestly go to the bathroom too, when I’m with people, including my partner, if I need to fart. Doesn’t work 100% of the time, but generally it does. Don’t see why something that is well know to be smelly, has to happen in the presence of other people’s noses, if it doesn’t have to.
If I found out that my partner was working really hard to throw me a surprise party, I would certainly ask surprised when the moment comes. Depending on the situation I might not even mention that I had known about it for THEIR JOY.
