He’s projecting because he don’t want to admit that his action led him to the divorce. He’s trying to justify his action by blaming you. He is probably upset with the divorce too, especially since you aren’t upset with it. He definitely wants you to feel upset too, but it seems like you aren’t reacting to anything he does, and his upset because it also means he’s losing control.
I don't see how this could be interpreted as bad. You saw the girl, you liked the girl, you didn't have a reliable way to connect with the girl, so you made a connection, took your shot, and you scored. I don't see anything bad, weird, creepy, stalkerish, or whatever about it, but I'm not sure it needs to be a topic of conversation nor do I believe you should be bothered by this at all. It's similar to how capitalism works. You're obviously an enterprising individual. You see something you want, you take the steps required, using the resources available to you to get your opportunity to attain what you want.
It's how dating used to work before apps. You would see someone you liked and leverage your other relationships to meet your love interest. Similar concept, different execution. If you had no mutual relationships, you'd “DM” them, meaning you'd walk up to them and speak to them, or find a slick way to attempt to make a connection with them. No need to dwell, feel guilty, or anyway else over it. Be happy!!! Goodness folks, we're so scared of being happy, and when we are happy, we feel guilty about it. Don't!
