I don't invalidate his feelings. I tell him he has a right to feel that way and process it, but you also have to step back and think about the big picture and the facts and perhaps come to the conclusion that maybe your feelings are not based in reality and you're being unfair?
I've told him I asked several times “I get that you're feeling like this, but what is your goal/ what is the solution to this” and he says when he tells me this he just wants a hug and for me to acknowledge how he feels. So I'm like… “sure, I can do that… and then what? It happens again next week or the week after? I just have to keep being made to feel like I don't do enough or bring anything to the relationship? That's not a tangible solution.”

I didn’t give you ideas on how to go about getting in contact with her. You did that all in your own head. And I most certainly my did not tell you to stalk her in any way shape or form.
