  3. OP when you read this: be careful of what she puts in your food. The way her mind runs from not being overweight while she clearly tells you to gain weight, sounds like she already decided you have to gain the weight..

When your brother took over the finances of the household the power dynamic changed and he's using that fact to be very controlling because he feels as though he “earned” that as a right, he knows you and your mom rely on him so he holds it over your head, unfortunately I don't see his attitude changing until you get your own place. Do you have any friends that you could room with? I'd start looking for someone who needs a roommate and see how that works out.

  5. I have some tips. Been on antidepressants too. It sucks, i know.

    Overall i would suggest you visit your doc and ask how to slowly reduce your dosage until you can fully stop. You can’t be healthy and fully yourself if you are on antidepressants.

    Usually depression and emotional imbalances are due to diet deficiencies and stress. While sometimes we can’t avoid stress, diet is something we can work on.

    Try to look up symptoms of the most common deficiencies and see if anything sounds familiar.

    Generally i suggest great focus on whole foods, avoid processed foods as much as you can. Get yourself a variety of nuts,seeds, fruits, veggies and fresh meat/fish. Cardio is also spectacular for detox and raising libido.

    You can support your mental health through diet fully. Walnuts, salmon, almonds, apples (eaten with peel after washing), dark chocolate and dairy/yogurt are great for mental balance.

    A final tip is omega3 supplements in liquid form. When i was having hard times in Uni, omega3 in general saved my butt.

  6. I totally agree. My wife was 20 and I was 27 when we met. Been married 16 years and going strong. We never even talked about the age difference. She was mature for her age at the time I guess, but I wasn't exactly mature for my age either.

  7. You don't have to convince them or even share your reasoning. Just say No.

    “Parents, I've given this a lot of thought and me buying a flat for you is not in the budget.” Repeat as needed. Stop arguing, Stop fueling the fire. “We've talked about this and it's not happening.” “We've been over this.”

    If they keep bringing it up, hang up the phone/get up from the table/walk out the door.
