These types of posts cause a ton of anxiety in me. The dude gave the perfect response and he’s being questioned about whether he’s being supportive or pushy. I feel like there’s there is no response that wouldn’t have made this post happen.

I would say if it is something he doesnt ever do but this time and it was more of a like shhhh kind of cover not a ike turner forceful grab then just tell him you don't like that and wont accept it again and move on.
If he is putting hands on you before than its probably a problem. Bottom line he needs to know psychical touch in arguments is zero tolerance and if he respects that going forward which unless he has a pattern of doing this i suspect he will honor your wishes.
