Tough one.Is this new? That makes a difference. I have always been a gym rat and was certified as a personal trainer. So. I’m familiar with eating disorders. If it’s new behavior then bring it up. It’s disordered eating at the very least. You say. I know you want to lose weight and you have been making changes. I’m concerned. I’m concerned because I love you and want you to be healthy. Your size doesn’t matter to me. Your happiness does. Your health does. You seem to vacillate between starving yourself and binging. That worries me. If you wonder at all if she’s purging, ask her. Come with solutions. A dietician if necessary and obviously a therapist that deals with body issues and eating disorders. If needed. Maybe she’s trying so nude not to eat as much that she ends up far too hungry. There’s a lot of maybes here. Exercise is great for the body but even better for the mind. It takes 8 weeks for it to become something that you want to do versus something you think you should do. I’m happy to answer any questions about how to exercise that you may have. Or she may have. I think this hinges on whether the eating behavior is new. I don’t have nearly enough information to diagnose but there’s enough to be concerned. I’m changing my opinion on whether it’s your place. If you are concerned about her health, then start by saying what I outlined above.
