   I think it's slight chance that he could be open to still being in a relationship after some space apart. But in the meantime, I would evaluate your boundaries. Might be best for you to apologize while sober with no excuses and empathize with him if he needs any space allow it, don't try to force connection until he's ready..if he'll ever be.
