I would be honest and confide all of this with your close friends mutual or not. You might need evidence because it sounds like she’s kind of already controlled some of the narrative by being as proactive about telling your friends as she has. I think if she’s willing to start talking about leaving and being amicable to your mutual friends then she’s opened the can of worms and your mutual friends should know about all of the cheating and events that have lead up to this. Personally as soon as she started cheating, all respect and amicability went out of the window. I’d be calm and collected about it all and be smart about how you approach your mutual friends with this info. If I was your friend, I’d want the full picture to some degree as making informed decisions about who I spend my time with matters. Omitting the truth like your girlfriend seemingly has, is about as good as lying to her and your friends.
I had a friend who cheated on another friend and it really does make you view them differently. I have a pretty very hot stance on cheaters in that sense, context does matter, sure, but if they’re willing to do that kind of thing to their SO in the fashion you have described then I can’t imagine how easily they would throw a friend to the wayside. But that’s just me.
