I’m 24, and I probably talk to most of my college friends once every few months. My best friend and I talk to each other every few days. None are local. For my friends that are local, we see each other probably once every 1-2 weeks.
It’s nothing personal. Adult life is just busy and everyone is truly at different life stages. I’m married with a career & just bought a house, which is a very different stage than my bachelor best friend in law school, for example.

Is this really the example that you want to set for your kids? Would you be happy if your kids ended up in a toxic marriage where they're being cheated on and are unsure if they're still in love but don't feel able to leave?
I completely understand how you would feel aggrieved by this, deceit when it comes to sexual encounters with friends is never going to sit well.

You can’t worry about what he’ll do. Most of the time threats of suicide is used as a manipulation to get people to stay. If you’re truly worried he might do it, share this info with his mom, brother, grandma, whoever and tell him that if he does so again with you, you’ll call the authorities to have him evaluate him for a 72 hour psyche hold.
You have to do what’s best for you. Not him. Don’t feel guilty for doing it.
And I have to say this – a married 32 year old having crushes and acting like a teenager with a crush is straight up pathetic and embarrassing to even read about.
