Just boxers? Maybe an issue. I (a female) was never weirded out by my dad walking around in just boxers, but could understand if a stepdad/mom’s bf were to walk around in just boxers.
It sounds like either a) mom thinks there’s something wrong with what you might do (which clearly doesn’t seem to be an issue) or b) she thinks there’s something wrong with what her kid might do/say.
Either way, mom needs to figure out wtf is up and either move out and move on or get over it because you’re right. It’s your house. If she’s allowed to walk around in a bra and shorts which is bare minimum for females, you should be able to walk around in bare minimum for males. This is ridiculous. This is the same as “put some more clothes on daughter, your uncle is coming over.”
If you don’t like them, then he shouldn’t need to hide them from you, it’s not like you’ll use them all but put the empty container back in the cupboard to make it look like there are still some.
