Especially if it isn't her dream job, her wanting to earn a certain amount of money to “sweeten the deal” of doing a not-so-dreamy job is absolutely fine, especially if she has been managing to score such an offer. Focusing on building a financial cushion, making job experiences, learning your worth in terms of career… all of that are very important things for a young adult to do.

   So honestly, I think she is doing exactly what a person her age should do. If you want someone who is ready to settle down with you and make that a priority over growing a career and money cushion, you should have dated someone your age.
