People tend to grow and change a lot in their 20’s. You two got together so young and haven’t maintained a healthy separation of friends, interests, or hobbies so it makes sense that he may be feeling a little lost.
I think a couples counselor would be very smart. And I think the way you took the info was excellent. Really measured and with maturity and grace. I’m not so sure that changing your moving plans right now makes sense. Move and the two of you do the work to try to get this sorted.
He’s having a little existential crisis and it honestly makes sense. But he needs to work through it.
I genuinely don’t care that I’m not getting gifts, I’m concerned they’re going to be pressured into something they don’t want to be doing. I’ve needed help getting started in life and I help others who need it, which I understand. The fact im concerned of is their week old boyfriend that they’ve known for a month is giving them hundreds of dollars worth of gifts, if it were a couple months in I wouldn’t blink an eye at it, but it being so fresh seems like a red flag their not aware of.
