1. Lying is a sign of severe abuse. It is a form of connection when there is none, a way to shield yourself from being hurt in various ways, and prevents trouble from stirring.

   There’s personality disorders associated, but the common theme throughout is the need to please, connect, and a presence of neglect. Also, if big trauma happened when she was developing at certain milestones when we learn to communicate or to lie (lying is essential to our safety and communication).

   So here we are: you can’t be in a relationship with someone who is so severely emotionally undernourished.

   I don’t know how old she is, but you need to let her go, wish her the best, and tell her why.

   You, yourself, also need help after this experience or whatever brought her to you.

2. So if she liked you in a suit and tie you'd wear that around the house? Why can't you just let her be comfortable at home like she should be and you both can dress up when you go out?
