Go to college!
While not the same thing at all, my mom used to tell me I couldn't make it through biology classes because there's a lot of math involved. She wanted me to marry someone who would take care of me so I could just have babies. I just wanted to learn about science. I made it though– graduated college with my BS in Biology.
Go do it! Go online your life. I really wished I didn't wait so long so I could have had more of the college lifestyle that older students don't get. Don't let your parents' insecurities fall on you.
Riiight… you totally know what kind of girl she is. I mean sure, if she told him what she did with hesitation then she's likely holding back, but we don't have the information. Not all 14 year olds are so shy and awkward just with that. It'd be different if he was only wearing his undies. But he mentioned wearing a boxer over it. In any case, what he needs to do is just have both sit down and have a conversation instead of asking Reddit for advice here.
Butting in here to say yes, someone without kids is better suited to unfit partners, and I'm childfree. But as a single person, you can take risks that parents shouldn't, because you're only risking yourself. Not that one should be with an unfit partner, but you have that right. Parents are bringing someone vulnerable and impressionable who doesn't really get a vote along with them and need to be extra careful. Even if the partner and the kid never meet, a bad relationship is a drain on one's energy that a parent can't afford.
OP, you did the right thing breaking up. Frankly, you knew he had a lot of issues and had no business being with him in the first place.
