You have no idea that he DIDNT help out. You only know he didn’t BAIL her out, so yeah you clearly expected him to bail her out.
Sorry, but no. Smart people think things through and don’t just act on love. Bringing money into a relationship can rot it from the inside out. The fact you don’t realize this just shows you’re not mature enough yet.

If you want to be friends with her again at some point, I'd send a text back saying that you're still processing your feelings and are not ready to talk yet. Doesn't have to be a long message, just establish that you need space/time without communication.
If you don't care about being friends then I suppose you could just not respond. But imagine from her perspective: her friend confesses to have feelings for her, then when she says she doesn't feel the same he starts ignoring her. It'd feel kinda bad.
Would you tell your father this story? Or brother? How would they react? Do the strong male figures in your life treat their partners this way or is this the first jerk you’ve had to personally deal with?
He’s not nice, trust worthy or appreciative. Those are pretty basic asks of a person you choose to share a home and life with
