1. I’m a Latina and unfortunately this is normal. Fortunately there are those of us who know not to give handouts to family like this so my suggestion is to break up. Family mostly comes first in Latin culture

2. She’s 23 not 13. She can travel on her own or you can hire an airport guide like we do for unaccompanied minors or elderly or other nervous travelers and they can get her through the airport. I mean seriously. She’s not flying Ethiopian where you need a cash bribe just get on the plane and people are trying to pick pocket you.

   Send her on her way and do your thing. Or offer to go if she pays for your ticket?

3. You can’t work up the confidence because she has been grooming you since you were 16…that’s what predators do, they break you down, make you think you need them, and take away all of your confidence so that you think you are nothing without them.

   But you have your whole life ahead of you! Go to college, meet girls your own age! You do not need her. Don’t let her continue controlling and manipulating you.
