2. she told you she wouldn't do it, so there's not a lot you can do. worrying about it won't accomplish much. there's always someone out there who has more money than you, or is taller, or in better shape, or has a nicer house or car. we can't spend our days waking around worrying about these hypothetical girlfriend-stealing studs.

   besides, if she's the type that would leave you for an older dude just because he has money, well… frankly, she wasn't worth a shit anyhow. you don't want people like that in your life.

   btw, I've never bought any of my girlfriends a single Gucci purse, and none of them ever left me. a quality person doesn't put a cost on their friendship.

   that said… take her out from time to time, by which I mean you pay. gender equality is great and all, but I still believe it's nice to treat her, sometimes. it doesn't have to be a mega-expensive meal, etc.
