Ok first of all he's awful. He should respect your comfort level.
Second which type of tubal did you get? The risk is different based on type. So the type where they take out the entire tube isn't likely to result in ectopic pregnancy. But if they cut and clamped or cut and cauterized has a higher failure rate.
There is a test they can do to check if the tubal is successful but if you're in the US I imagine you would probably need to pay for it.
Look, I don't think this guy deserves to “hit it raw” because he sounds like a dick regardless of whether it's safe to or not. But know that tubals have high success rates. So get rid of him and find someone willing to have a vasectomy so you can have double the safety.
But why do you need to get to know this man?
