Not that you should have to, but tell him you see him as family and that his comments gross you out. Because it could make others mad I'd avoid being rude even though he is definitely gross and in the wrong, whatever you do don't bring up age. Older guys don't seem to notice they are old.
You are right and I'm sorry your mom didn't put a stop to it the moment you made it clear it was uncomfortable. If my oldest male or female friend said this to my child, they'd get one warning and if it happened again they wouldn't be coming to my home while it is also my child's home. I have an 18 year old and I say this with sincerity. I will be 40 this year and cannot fathom even looking at a kid (I know technically adult) this way.
