Well they are twins, I could think that they could keep being co dependent their entire lives. But beside that, as a twin I think they might unhealthily co dependent on each other. This is a problem for them and this might be the reason why they don't have a good relationship with the “extra child”. I wonder if in this situation they are a more problematic version of the bigger brother being jealous of the existence of the younger child.

Sure, it was a bit insensitive. But I wouldn’t make a big deal about it. FWB don’t owe you text support for your period problems, in my book. He’s likely just trying to keep it light. I’d shrug it off, or go and talk to my sister or bestie about the sore boobs instead.
Are you sure you aren’t catching feelings for this guy? The whole dynamic of you venting about your day, wanting sympathy and support, feeling unheard and invalidated, wanting to start discussions about his responses- that’s more of a ‘relationship’ dynamic in my opinion. Not a ‘we hookup even so often and joke about each other’s sports team’ FWB dynamic? I mention it just in case you need to audit your feelings and see if it’s still working for you?
Third thought: I get more easily offended, and start conversations I probably shouldn’t when I’m nearing my period. Like clockwork, but I’m not really aware of it until afterwards. Don’t throw away a good FWB by making my mistakes!
Find a guy who is attracted to you.
It sounds like your boyfriend is really into a certain body type. He needs to go find a woman who is petite and you need to find a guy who is in to you. Obviously you will not have a problem finding a guy that is interested in you.
I'd also say that there is probably something more going on with your boyfriend. Not having sex in months is just fucking odd. Even if he isn't as attracted to you it just is off. 28 year old guys usually have high libidos. IT very well could be a problem he is having and he is putting that shit on you.
