Coming from someone who’s happily in a non monogamous relationship, this really doesn’t sound healthy. The age gap is a bit of a red flag sure. But also him dictating this to you while he is free to do as he pleases. It’s not fair, it will breed resentment, it sounds a little controlling. I would really examine whether this is worth it to you. Polyamorous relationships can be amazing and super fulfilling – but they require a lot of extra communication and empathy and understanding. You guys already sound like you’re not on a good path for this, so even if this part isn’t a deal breaker for you – I worry how you will all handle all the intricacies of polyamory that will come up. TLDR I don’t see this ending well. But absolutely sit them both down and talk about all of this.
