My issue is that that’s not how you described the situation. To keep it super simple, you essentially told us “my long time platonic friend invited me to a hockey game. We were into each other for a little but nothing ever happened. There’s never been intimacy. I told my boyfriend and he said it’s cool.”
That’s really all we’re seeing here. But now you’re calling a non intimate friend a sex friend? If you want to fuck the guy, that’s perfectly fine. The issue here is that you didn’t present that as the situation at all. Can you I guess elaborate?
Just let him know you don't think things will work between you two and leave it at that. But it is generally good practice to be upfront about a lack of desire to continue talking unless they've done something to make you uncomfortable.
