Exactly. I'm sure that I have looked very happy when out in public with my ex. He is still an abusive pos and I'm still struggling 5 years later because of the trauma I've gone through being with him.
Pretending that everything is fine is especially easy when you're in the love bombing phase of the abusive cycle. Then it goes back to normal but you have convinced yourself that the love bombing phase is the normal because that's how any abusive relationship starts.
So you stay and you try and try and try to get back to how it's supposed to be all the time until you, hopefully, one day realise that the bad days way outnumbered the good ones and that it will be that way until all days are bad.
What sort of relationship advice do you need? You’ve repeatedly told your boyfriend no and now he’s going on about doing it without you. Simply put, he doesn’t respect you or your boundaries, and nothing is changing that.
Why are you focused on the slap? She told you she could do what she wants and apparently that was going off with some strange dude without a second though for you. You stopped it this time. You won't always be there. This sounds like a cheater. And yes, then the slap. You don't need this kind of person
