If it’s your biological child, and you want them, I don’t think she can give them up to anyone but you. It would be like a divorced guy getting child support and trying to put the kids his wife had primary custody of up for adoption. Get with a lawyer and learn what your rights are.
You have to determine if your desire to not have him there outweighs your desire to have her there. Sometimes you have to suck things up for the people you love. My mom had a long-time boyfriend that I didn’t like and I knew whenever I got married if he was still with her that I would have to extend the invitation to him. Not because I want him there but because I know it would make my mom happy.
Maybe he’ll end up not coming but you can at least say you did your part. But let both him and your mother know that if he/they cause drama they will be kicked out of the wedding.
It’s very easy to make decisions about what you want before the baby arrives. Once you have this little person in your arms and you’re responsible for their every need, plus the bonding then the game changes drastically. I’m guessing she doesn’t want to leave her baby, and possibly not you either and that is completely understandable. I would say throw out the plans you made pre birth and consider where to go from here, putting the baby first at all times obviously.
