Maybe I'm a cynic but the pregnancy scare feels more like a test to gauge where you were at with wanting kids and if you would be excited about the prospect. Just make sure you handle your own birth control and don't just let her handle it.

I want to add something that I forgot, but I brought a cat from my dad's house to the house I share with my bf. I can't bring her back with me bc she hates my dad's dog (and my dad has been negligent of her before) and if I moved in with someone else it's unlikely I'll be able to bring her.
There can be a difference in a biological father and an actual parental figure. Ideally, they are both the same but it doesn’t seem to be the case here. It wasn’t the case for family members I have either.
My aunt has been no contact with her dad due to him blaming her for her husbands cheating, and she is much better for it. Their relationship was always rocky, and she found second parents in another old couple she’s really close with.
My cousins are no contact with their dad for being neglectful, refusing child support and abusive. Their grandfather picked up the slack and was amazing until his death. When ten oldest graduated, he kept his dad blocked from his own grad party. And it went well.
It’s not a title your given, it’s earned. And it’s ok to draw that line in the sand and say never contact me again. If he is ever truly remorseful and pays what he owes, which sounds like he isn’t yet, you still have the choice to let him in when that time comes. If you can’t forgive him, that’s also ok.
