I personally don't understand why longer engagements aren't more the norm. My husband and I were engaged for two years, and it was actually a great time to get our ducks in order and smooth out some issues in our relationship before fully committing. Getting married has not been an adjustment at all for either of us, bc we had a great two year practice run.

You know what to do OP. I assume you've just come to get the strength to do it.
So remember – the day after you leave will be terrible but you will be free. And it will get better. Time heals all wounds, you know that.
