I would probably wonder if I should find a new therapist if they tried to follow me on Instagram. I would absolutely find a new one if they messaged me about my selfies.
This is a pretty big boundary violation. She should've asked if you felt comfortable with her following you before she even did. And most therapists I've ever seen draw extremely clear boundaries about out of office communication, social media included.
If you want to continue seeing her, I would absolutely bring it up in your session and tell her you don't enjoy her looking you up and want her to stop. But I would also heavily advise you to find a new therapist.
Well I have the most flexibility to be in same location as I work from home and don’t have a lease. Whereas he doesn’t have that flexibility to just move because he works in office. And with the economy it could be very hot to find a job
