Thank you for taking the time to reply. It made me cry reading your post. I do wish he'd give me more time to build trust in him before putting me in this position.
And there it is, only a few comments in: 'divorce him.' Not what you said, but clearly what you're implying.
That's Reddit for you:
'I came out of the store and my husband was talking to this woman. Turns out it was his ex-fiance from 15 years ago and it was a random run in. He introduced me. Still, I'm uncomfortable and worried that he may still have feelings for her. How do I deal with my feelings?'
There are women who are physically drop dead gorgeous but because of their selfish, narcissistic behavior, they're ugly as hell. Then there are women who may not be as physically attractive but because of their “personality”, radiate beauty that goes far beyond their physical appearance. Physical beauty does not last forever because we all get old as time passes but that inner beauty will always survive the test of time.
So OP, do you want a shallow man who is with you only for you looks or do you want a man who wants to be with you because of your “inner” beauty?
In my early 20's I was in a terrible relationship and was getting beat all the time, the final straw for me was being spat at in the face. I don't know why but for me that was so much worse than all the bruises and bumps, it was completely violating, that's how it felt. What I'm going to say to you is that things like this don't stop, this is actually just the beginning. If you stay she will do it again because you would have shown her that she can do something truly disgusting to you and you stayed. I know you love her but you have to love yourself more.
No one is hating and it seems the family is very accepting. Just because someone chooses to change their gender does not mean that everyone has to change for that individual. It’s actually quite misogynistic to think that. The grandmother did not know this individual as a female and even if she did, you do not know if she would have given the ring to them anyway since they are biological a male.

Your parents are wise. And it’s possible to love the wrong man
