I think she's of the opinion that we should be sharing money more than I am comfortable with, and since “we” have a farm and “we” have these dogs then “we” should be spending on them. By necessity “we” do spend a lot of time and effort on these things, but they are driven by her entirely. If our farm and dogs got Thanos-Snapped tomorrow I'd miss them to some degree (I love our dogs individually) and I'd be disappointed to suddenly lose something I put effort into… but I'd also feel a weight come off my shoulders. I don't really think how we do things is fair, nor is spending and I've been awaiting her pulling her financial weight with some degree of relief.
i agree with Butwhatdo1know! I think you should talk to him about it, and gauge his reaction and how the conversation goes. it definitely could be intentional that he left it there for you to find, but it also couldve just been a diary entry he wasnt expecting you to ever see. If it's the latter, and he really does feel that way, maybe ask him if he has any ideas on what could make it more passionate? maybe you can plan some spontaneous dates, initiate making out at random times, try dirtier things like sneaking panties into his pocket in public, hell, even roleplaying that you dont know each other and hitting on each other at a bar. theres lots of ideas out there, and it depends on what he means by “passion” if theres other issues like his definition of passion is something toxic because of a bad ex, maybe you could recommend him going to therapy or couples therapy together? i hope everything goes well and its not something bad 🙁

I did tell her I don’t like her when we first reconnected given how negative the past has been but I’ve still been kind to her. My feelings are conflicted like I don’t want her around but I do. At one point I saw myself marrying her and was taking steps to make that happen. I have love for her and hate seeing her in this space in her life and want to be supportive and I am no longer romantically in love with her and will not tolerate her disrespect like I did in the past. I wanted her around and hoped we could eventually grow to be casual friends.
Uhhh what the heck. This is guy is almost twice your age. He is trying to control you, not be in a relationship with you. He’s older and set in his ways. He’s not going to change and you’re better off without him. He is trying to isolate you and if you let him, you’re going to put yourself in a situation where you’ll be dependent on him. And tbh I won’t be surprised if he starts being abusive physically. The fact that he’s a police officer will also probably make it that much harder for people to believe you are in the thick of a horrible situation and make leaving much difficult later on. The fact that he’s already insisting on moving in already is definitely another red flag. There was another comment that listed so many of the red flags, I beg you to please listen.
What’s worst is he couldnt care less whether she goes or doesn’t. Clearly it makes him no difference, except at least if she does go, he can gain a small profit from her.
