I know where you're coming from, and I would tend to agree if all of that could be verified. The problem is that it'll never be verified. We could never know there was no emotional element to it (what led up to it?). Are we supposed to now trust their answers? And we can't even know with certainty that a short kiss was all it was. As it's been said in here many times and is true more often than not: adults don't kiss. They fuck.
Alcohol is never an excuse (unless she was unconscious. But now we're talking about a crime, and she'd be a victim). Alcohol only lowers inhibitions a bit. It doesn't make you a different person.
