The problem for women with having no sex for a very long period of time is that it can affect the sex drive. She was probably attracted to him initially, nothing happened for a long while and she lost her sexual interest even if she didn't stop loving him. I don't think this is as simple as she was stringing him along, she must love him or what is there to gain from going through a painful divorce so quickly after getting married?
