They're insecure and jealous to see that you've done what they couldn't. They're being mean because you do look good
So basically I say thank you, yeah
I think you have every right to feel how you do. Maybe ask her to wait until they’ve been together a year before introducing them – it’s reasonable given it’s fairly early days, you get some extra time &, personally, I wouldn’t have an issue with that if I were her.
That being said, we both know you can’t put it off forever & you’re very involved in your daughters life so voice your concerns about being replaced to your ex. I’m sure she’ll reassure you that that’s not going to be the case.
On a positive note, aslong as he’s a nice guy, your daughter will have another positive influence in her life – that’s never a bad thing.
