He doesn't have to agree with breaking up or stopping contact. He says it isn't all about you – but your life is all about you. Stop doing this to yourself. Pull the bandaid off and move on. If you need help processing it all then do that in the therapy where it's appropriate, healthy, and useful.

Your telling us you “give him the world” but he is saying you don't do enough for him. Do you think there is any validity in what he is saying or is he overly critical, unappreciated, demanding and entitled? For some reason I think it's the latter.
He cheated on you yet he unrealistically expects you to just get over it. It doesn't work that way. If he really felt bad about what he did then he would be more patient. He seems to have zero respect or empathy for you. He seems like a pretty crap partner from what you wrote. Why do you keep giving him the world when he can't even give you basics like respect and care?
