You want her to shortchange her career and online close to her hometown forever to save you from dirty looks, but you don't seem to care how that would effect her. Her advice to you sounds harsh but is the only option I see. Ignore the haters that don't know you, relish your family, seek professional help on coping with social ostracizism.
