I clicked only because of the age gap and how it was 100% sure they'd be drama. I'm barely 30 and dating early 20s sounds so weird.
I dont think its any significant trauma but its more that i didnt get my attention when i was in my teens, had family issues and i felt tossed to the side.
Over the years, i became rational and could justify why i was sad or mad to begin with but sometimes, when its a really bad day, i just need some extra attention and when he couldnt give it, i would take it to heart and think that the doesnt want me anymore, or that im unlovable bcs im too needy and too clingy (bcs somebody did say that once to me), when in fact he was just busy, and would be there when he isnt. I have certain methods to calm me down but its just the really bad days, especially when i think someone is disappointed in me or i sense that im not needed.
My question is….is this type of situation normal? I didnt think he was an asshole for saying that bcs i think that i am a bit too much to handle, so if he could do that then i would handle him in return. Or is that bad?
I am with your boyfriend. I would never get engaged prior to living together. I need to know we can on-line together before making that commitment.
