Oh there is no reprieve unfortunately. Many estranged parents never pay shit. The only way to get it is if they get a government payment that could be garnished or if they want to buy a home or get a line of credit for something. A lot of times parents who refuse to pay are losers who won’t ever find themselves in a situation where they are forced to pay arrears.
I raised a family member who’s dad was over 20k in arrears, they never saw shit. My kids dad is in significant arrears, there isn’t shit you can do. It sucks, but that’s the harsh reality. This is sadly common for single moms.
