My girlfriend went to a bar with friends (underage). Her friends left her after she got too drunk and a group of guys (strangers) offered a lift home.
She ended up throwing up in their car and they stopped at a McDonald’s to let her out. The guys were huddled around her and the cops stopped because they thought there was a fight.
They ended up taking custody of her after realizing she didn’t know any of them and didn’t have an ID. They called me at 3 o’clock in the morning and asked me to come get her. She started throwing up in their SUV and fighting to get out. They opened the door and she face planted into the ground scraping up her face.
When I got there she was incoherent on a stretcher being loaded into an ambulance. When she got to the hospital she had a .34 BAC. This was the night before valentines.
Moral of the story is bad things can happen if you aren’t there with genuine friends who have your back. This has given me PTSD to the point that I don’t really have any interest in dating someone who wants to party on the weekends without me

Just…dude…reread what you wrote. You can see how bad it sounds, right? Be a bit more aware with your word choice if you ever talk to her about this sort of thing.
This person wasn’t saying the mom had a say. They are saying either they both say yes (OP and fiance) which means she can move in, or it’s a one no which would mean it cannot happen. Meaning OP no is a bigger deal then the fiancé wanting this. OP had to be completely on board otherwise fiance shouldn’t move her mom in.
