4. I find it odd AF when couples DON'T have those kinds of boundaries. To me, it's about putting more into my relationship with my SO than with others. The whole thing must have been giving for the reaction you got.

5. Simplest answer? He wanted two women. His ex who apparently dumped him and their dog, and if she didn’t take him back he was gonna keep you as a backup.

   Telling you the truth early on would mean losing your sympathy. Wouldn’t you think it’s sus if you go on 3 dates with this guy and find out all this? You would immediately dump him because ain’t nobody got time for that. Vs if you’re in a relationship for 6 months and then you get this info dump – it becomes harder to leave and you’ll think many times before doing that. That’s why people lie so they can hook you with escalation of commitment.

   But that’s not the moral of the story. The moral of the story is – don’t ignore your gut. The moment you get the first ick, it’s time to bounce away. Yes it’ll make the search harder, but what’s the alternative? Date whatever psycho out there and then get a divorce? Nah fam
